Evan Fujimoto was born and raised in Honolulu, Hawaii where he spent his entire life in a creative medium. He graduated from the University of Hawaii at Manoa in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Biology, summa cum laude, and sadly never used it since. He became interested in film production during his last year in college and upon graduation, began working as a freelance video producer and photographer for local businesses such as Aoki Group restaurants, Hawaii Baptist Academy, Okuhara Foods, Poi Planet, and more. Also certified as a licensed drone pilot with the FAA, he has been able to incorporate aerial photography into his storytelling style.
During the quarantine of 2020, Fujimoto embarked on musical passion projects including the release of his debut single, “Jellyfishes,” under his electronic dance music artist alias, ETRNL. Fujimoto also coordinated a nine-membered remix album for Jellyfishes with locally based producers and produced a public listening party and music video world premiere at Hawaiian Brians Social Club. With messages about ocean safety awareness, Fujimoto directed, edited, and produced its accompanying music video, and was further nominated for two international film festivals in 2021. A portion of the proceeds from the event was donated to local ocean safety organizations. Fujimoto will continue pursuing his love for storytelling with his unique cinematic style in collaboration with local and international artists and clients.
